Afghan Scholars and Clerics Meet with Grand Ayatollah Shirazi

Mr. Tawakkoli, the president of the council of scholars in Herat province of Afghanistan, along with Sheikh Ehsani and Sheikh Motahhari, two members of the Islamic Unity Party visited the Grand Shia Jurist Ayatollah Shirazi at his House in the holy City of Qom. During this meeting, these visitors offered reports of their activities to the Grand Jurist and listened to statements by his eminence.

In his remarks, the Grand Jurist stated:

“God will help people, proportionate to their dedication and commitment. The nation of Afghanistan requires to develop a strong commitment in them. All Afghans must work hard to pave the way for a brighter future for Afghanistan. Of course, it should be noted that scholar have a greater responsibility in this regard, because they can educate the society.”

Further, the Grand Ayatollah Shirazi highlighted the education of young Afghans and said: “Everyone should care about the youths. The Afghan youths have great potentials and powers, they only need help to materialize their potentials.” His eminence then added: “With respect to the education of the youths, two things must be considered and they are Islamic ethics and the culture of AhlulBayt (peace be upon them).” At the end, the Grand Jurist wished for the Afghan nation to be an influential and progressive nation in the future.
