Imam Shirazi World Foundation Congratulates Muslims on Arrival of Eid Ghadeer

On the eve of the Eid al-Ghadeer, Imam Shirazi World Foundation published a statement to congratulate this great occasion to the entire Muslim community. This statement reads as follows:

In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

Almighty God says in the Quran:

“Your guardian is only Allah, His Apostle, and the faithful who maintain the prayer and give the zakat while bowing down.”

[Chapter 5, Verse 55]

Imam Shirazi World Foundation congratulates the Islamic Ummah, especially the followers of the school of Ahl al-Bayt (blessings of God be upon them), on the arrival of the great day of Eid Ghadeer, and prays to God Almighty to have mercy on all Muslims and wishes them all to enjoy peace, security and stability in their life.

On this great day, Imam Shirazi World Foundation invites all Muslims from different schools of thought, ethnicities and backgrounds to stand united and calls on them to implement the God’s command in Surah Ale Imran, verse 3: “And hold fast to the rope of God and do not be scattered.” On this note, Imam Shirazi World Foundation highlights the significance of unity and avoidance of division among the Muslim ranks.

Imam Shirazi World Foundation also calls on the followers of the Ahl al-Bayt (blessings of God be upon them) to be adorned with morality and to follow the path taken by the Imams of the Guidance (blessings of God be upon them) and before them the Messenger of God (blessings of God be upon him) and to spread the culture of discourse. Shia believers are expected to be tolerant, because God Almighty says:

“Repel [evil] with what is best. [If you do so,] he between whom and you was enmity, will then be as though he were a sympathetic friend.” [Holy Quran,  Chapter 41, Verse 34].

The Muslim nation has been suffering from division because of foreign interference and profiteers who seek their interests in division and hatred among the Muslims’ ranks. And therefore, they have spared no efforts to cast division among Shia Muslims and other Muslims.

Therefore, the foundation emphasizes the need for vigilance and awakening to disarm these groups that are trying to disrupt the united ranks of the Shiites by using baseless excuses and slogans. And it is necessary to be pious and avoid all the issues that create sedition among Muslims in general and among Shiites in particular.
