Director of Shia Rights Watch Stands in Solidarity with Rohingya Muslims

Noting the destructive and inhuman persecutions against the Rohingya Muslims resulting in the displacement of millions of refugees in Bangladesh, Mostafa Akhwand, the executive director of Shia Rights Watch condemned the violation of human and religious rights in Myanmar and warned of the dire consequences of such violations in the entire world, when he was addressing the IRF summit congressional advocacy day event.

He further underscored that Shia Rights Watch stands in solidarity with the persecuted Rohingya Muslims, calling on the international community to take constructive steps to expand freedom for everyone everywhere.

It is worth mentioning that Rohingya Muslims have faced severe crackdowns by Myanmar government since 2017, forcing them to leave this country and settle elsewhere like in Bangladesh.
