Imam Hussain’s Campsite New Shrine Unveiled in Holy Karbala

The Custodianship of the Shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) unveiled the new shrine, that encircles the campsite of this Holy Imam during a ceremony in holy Karbala. This ceremony was attended by delegations from the Public Relations Office of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi, who were headed by Mr. Aref Nasrullah, as well as some religious figures and academics from holy Karbala.

In this ceremony, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Karbalaei, one of the custodians of Imam Hussain’s Shrine said: “By these projects, the custodianship of Imam Hussain’s Shrine tries to facilitate pilgrimage to this holy shrine. In due course, we decided to replace the shrine of Imam Hussain’s campsite and construct the courtyard of Lady Zainab (peace be upon her).”

Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Karbalaei further stated that many other organizations have also contributed to this project, including Karbala municipality and several other governmental departments.

In this ceremony, the keys to the shrine were handed over to the custodians and a documentary about the construction of the shrine was streamed to the participants.
