Iraqis from City of Kifl Meet with Grand Ayatollah Shirazi
On Wednesday, 18th of Rabi Al-Thani 1440 AH, hundreds of Iraqi Shias from Kifl City in Iraq visited the Grand Shia Jurist Ayatollah Sayed Sadiq Shirazi, during a pilgrimage trip to the holy shrine of Lady Fatima Masoumeh, peace be upon her, in the holy City of Qom.
During their visit to the Office of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi in holy Qom, these Iraqi pilgrims listened to a speech by Sayed Hussain Shirazi.
In his remarks, the Grand Jurist’s son stated:
‘The essence and the underlying nature of this world is all dependent on these words by almighty God that says:
“Forgive, because forgiveness is beautiful.”
This means that we should ignore certain desires and inclinations inside of us. We shouldn’t let anger overtake us and instead, use forgiveness as a tool. Of course, forgiveness is not the right tool in confrontation with oppressive rulers or systems.’
Sayed Hussain Shirazi then said:
‘The majority of people make two mistakes; the first one is that they blow their problems out of proportions, or in other words, they simply exaggerate their afflictions. The second mistake, however, is that people underestimate the power of the compassionate God.’
At the end, Sayed Hussain Shirazi stated:
‘The divine blessings are countless and one should only ask for them from almighty God. God says: “Then, on that day, you will be questioned about the bounties (of God).”
