Imam Shirazi World Foundation Thankful to All Those Who Contributed to the Success of this Year Ashura Pilgrimage 

Imam Shirazi World Foundation, affiliated with the Office of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi published a letter to honor the efforts of the servants of Imam Husayn commemorations in holy Karbala. This letter reads as follows:

In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

“Almighty God has said: “And whoever venerates the sacraments of Allah indeed that is from the piety of hearts.”

This year’s Ashura commemoration in holy Karbala was accompanied by unrelenting efforts, which are worthy of great respect and acknowledgement by Imam Shirazi World Foundation. All these efforts resulted in an extraordinary and remarkable success in maintaining these Husayni and religious rites, which were attended by millions of pilgrims from across the country.

The tireless efforts of the organizers of these sacred rites, especially the servants at the shrines of Imam Husayn and Hazrat Abbas (peace be upon them) as well as the managers of religious communities and processions are also worthy of unending appreciation and thankfulness. Imam Shirazi World Foundation prays to God Almighty, to reward these servants of Imam Husayn (peace be upon him) with His vast mercy. It should not be overlooked that the security forces and the law enforcement as well as the media such as: TV networks, websites, and the social media had a great role in spreading the message of Imam Husayn (peace be upon him) in this year’s Muharram.

Each year and on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Husayn (PBUH) and his companions (peace be upon them) more than two million Shia believers and lovers of AhlulBayt (peace be upon them) from all across Iraq gather in holy Karbala to honor the embodiment of virtue, justice and resistance against oppression. May God increase the rewards of the believers.
